Visual Expression // YGen Religion
The reason I chose to create a wall graphic was because I wanted to find the parallels between what I believed in if I didn’t believe in a god. I then took this further to study the Y generation. This is a person born between the 1980s and early 1990, which is the era that I was born which is why I have designed it in a quirky style.
I chose this generation specifically as I knew it well. I wanted to show the Y generation that it is ok to believe in whatever you want and that things have changed over the years; by writing short sentences of the traditional meaning vs my meanings. I wanted to make my idea clear by using iconic images of God and Jesus and adding a quirky 21st century twist to show the audience how society has changed.
